Moms are superheroes. We do it all. Pregnant moms, new moms, teen moms, single moms, old moms, twin moms, rainbow moms- all MOMS!
Moms are often overlooked when you consider the amount of true heart and soul and old fashioned hard work they do to keep a family running day to day. Also, they are TIRED. What mom out there is not tired? I know I am (thank you coffee)!
Now, I am not trying to discount those hardworking dads- (don’t worry, I see you guys too!), but there is something very special about a mother and child bond.
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with a fellow photographer to photograph her maternity journey with her second child. I loved how these images turned out, and wanted to do more of this style.
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I had a wonderful vision that I just had to bring to life. What mama doesn’t want some gorgeous mommy and me photos?
I wanted to create an event for mothers and children, celebrating the unbreakable bond of motherhood. I wanted to offer hair and makeup so they feel beautiful. I wanted to gift them something special so they always remember how they felt in these moments. I also wanted to share and promote local businesses around St. Charles County to help boost the community.
Born from these visions in my head- “The Motherhood Event”
This year I am SO excited to offer a special event to celebrate the beauty of motherhood!
These sessions will match a warm, neutral, fine art vibe, and feature a gorgeous peachy floral backdrop, my bamboo egg chair, and fresh and dried florals and greenery from local business Hare and Bare co.
I also plan to offer some treats from my favorite local baker- Kris Miss! If you have never had her treats, they are all natural, and amazing! I have brought on a makeup artist for this special day as well. Her name is Lindsey and I promise, she will help you feel your best!
These very limited sessions will include:
-petite hair and makeup
-refreshments and treats
-client closet (see here: CLIENT CLOSET)
(also try Bailey Blossoms, Mama Bump Rentals , and Baltic Born. Any large dresses donated to the client closet earn print credit)
-15 minutes of photography
-swag bag full of our favorite local goodies
-1 8x10 mounted print + matching digital ($190 value) -$200 wall art/album credit (not valid on digital only packages or gift items)
After each session, you will have a personal reveal and ordering session where you can view your images and turn them into timeless art for your home. Your memories with your children will live on through print.
